There is a bit of a trend today to encourage family led celebrations, particularly for events such as baby namings, anniversaries, funerals and memorials. Most celebrants would agree that it is highly desirable that family is fully involved with the planning and execution of the ceremony if a celebration is going to be truly authentic. There are huge advantages though in engaging an experienced celebrant who can provide ideas and advice, coordinate the family contributions and ensure that all runs smoothly on the day.
