My working career began as a Public Servant for the NSW Government, then I joined the WRANS, became a wife and mother and then re-entered the workforce as a business owner. For 20 years I worked as an Optical Dispenser and Marketing Manager for a large private Optical company. All my jobs involved working with people and from each work experience I have grown in my understanding and my abilities.
Celebrant background: I have worked with and alongside people all of my working life and delight in being part of a team that plans, prepares and conducts entertaining and memorable occasions. I have developed my professional skills through my previous background as a Regimental Sergeant Major in the Australian Army and as a National Business and Marketing Manager with a large manufacturing and sales company. I live in Ipswich and work alongside my delightful wife – Trish. We operate out of our home office in Eastern Heights. I was registered as a Marriage Celebrant on Christmas Eve 2009.
I have been a Celebrant since 2010 and love being able to make a difference - to contribute to a young couple's special day!
Each has been different, a reflection of the people it's for.
I love what I do! and I'm told it shows.
Since then i have conducted many, many, many different types of celebrations!!
I have a background in education both in the school system and in Child Care, I have always worked with children. I have worked for Indigenous Priorities supporting Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander educators in rural and remote areas. I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I enjoy gardening and the outdoors. I have two horses and like to ride whenever I can. I became a celebrant several years ago and love meeting new couples and learning about their love story!
I am passionate about seeing and making people happy. Hence why due to my caring nature for people, I spent over 30 years in the Health Industry.
I'm committed to making your special day exactly what you'd hoped for.
After a career in administration and project management in a range of industries, I'm now finally fulfilling my dream of working as a celebrant with care, passion and confidence.
I was born in Queensland and have lived here most of my life, apart from a few years spent working in London and in Singapore. I currently live in Ocean View near Dayboro on 65 acres with my husband, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and cats.
