Nowra Batemans Bay and SOUTH COAST
My love of working with people and the skills and qualities I developed during my career in Human Resources Management led me to undertake the training to become a Marriage Celebrant. I live by the sea at Batemans Bay, NSW with my husband Marcus - who is also my sound and music man at ceremonies.
My hobbies are tai chi, beach walking and spending time with my family. I was registered as a Marriage Celebrant by the Attorney General's department in April 2009 and since that time I have enjoyed meeting new people including other celebrants and wedding suppliers and visiting many new places up and down the coast and inland to Canberra.
My background in People Management means that I am used to working with others during times of stress. I offer my caring and calm manner and my ability to listen to help families create a memorable farewell for their loved one.
One aspect I enjoy most about the different roles I have performed, is working with other people collectively achieving our goals and learning new things along the way.
I worked initially in the funeral industry. Then became a funeral celebrant during the days when the general public decided they need the choice of non-denominational ceremony for funerals as they were enjoying for weddings.
I have been a celebrant for over 10 years and still enjoy meeting couples and listening to their story. I will work with you both to create a ceremony that will be memorable (in the nicest possible way). I will guide you so that you make good decisions about your ceremony, so that you are confident in what you want and what you will say during your vows and indeed your ceremony.
Lived through the "Rearing a Family" of Three, from Tots to Teens, Education and Individualism, and beyond, plus divorce, and the "Re-training of and for Life"
I do ceremonies in the ACT and also within 1 hours drive of Canberra.
