Melbourne NORTHERN suburbs
Professionally, I am a secondary teacher, with university qualifications of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Theology and post-graduate diplomas in Education and Educational Administration.
I've been a professional performer for most of my life - as a dancer, singer and an actress. Like many in the performing arts, I've also turned my hand to other pursuits - working in the travel industry, in fashion and in administration. So I've built up a really extensive and diverse skill set that enables me to bring to my role as your marriage celebrant, a wealth of life experience and the ability to both listen and communicate effectively.
Based in Cranbourne North, Victoria, I have officiated at thousands of ceremonies, each of them different and each of them memorable.
Over the years, I have worn a few hats in my time - as an artist, writer, performer, teacher, administrator, coordinator and manager. Now I have chosen to specialise in life celebrations. I've had great times interacting with many audiences as a performer, musician and mistress of ceremonies.
As a community artist and coordinator, I have been privileged to work creatively with people from all walks of life and have engaged with diverse communities.
As a writer, my pursuits have included poetry, songs, short story, feature articles, and script for theatre, radio and screen.
I was born. I grew up. I became a celebrant. Life is good.
Before I made the decision 9 years ago to become a Celebrant my background was as a Personal Assistant to my husband (who now works for me as my roadie!). For many years I have also been involved in TV/Media and print and have confidence in public speaking.
I knew I wanted to be a Celebrant after delivering the Eulogy for my father's funeral and later doing a reading at the wedding of my eldest daughter. My organisational skills and calm nature allow me to 'think on the spot' and not become stressed about any unforeseen events. I am truly passionate about my role as a Celebrant.
I was actively involved in the Marriage Equality campaign and I am very glad that it was successful.
I love finding out what is important to couples to ensue that the ceremony is right for them.
I enjoy live music and theatre, walking my dog and playing with my grandchildren.
