Celebrant background: My name is Vincent Moore and I am a wedding celebrant located in Port Macquarie. I have enjoyed working closely with the public for over 40 years in roles as a schoolteacher and Justice Of The Peace.
During my over 16 years celebrant experience I have performed hundreds of weddings at exciting locations such as Uluru in the NT and on boats on Sydney Harbour.
Why I'm a celebrant: The main reason I became a Marriage Celebrant was that I found marrying my soul mate, Jane, completed my life. The sense of fulfilment from our marriage made the thought of becoming a marriage celebrant irresistible. And the main reason I enjoy being a wedding celebrant is because of the euphoric atmosphere I help to create on a couple’s Special Day.
Treasured memories: * I performed the wedding ceremony for Maz and Paul at Uluru in the NT, with The Rock as our backdrop. This was a spectacular and breathtaking location for a wedding ceremony, providing a magical atmosphere that made for the most Special of Special Days.
* During the exchange of the rings at a wedding ceremony I performed on a boat on Sydney Harbour, the bride and groom were located on the edge of the boat and the Best Man dropped the bride's ring as he passed it to her. Everyone thought the ring had disappeared into the harbour, but luckily it had gotten caught in the train of the bride's dress, just centimetres from falling into the water. It was the scariest moment I've experienced in my years as a celebrant, though fortunately, it was a happy ending with a story to tell.
Tips : * Always have a back-up wedding ceremony venue if you are going to be married out in
the open air, because if it starts raining you must have somewhere undercover to go.
* Most important to always have some bottles of water available for the waiting guests,
no matter what the weather conditions.
* If the ceremony is outside, make certain to have some umbrellas to provide shade to
elderly guests and pregnant women.
* Consider having your wedding off-season, as it will be cheaper, plus there is far less
competition for reception venues, photographers, celebrants etc.
* Arrive on-time or at worst, a few minutes late for the wedding, as guests can become
very uncomfortable waiting for lengthy periods for the brides to arrive.
and I'd like to say: It is a great pleasure working with couples as we plan their wedding day. I like to perform the ceremonies in a relaxed, confident, and friendly manner. My youthful appearance and personality, plus my very strong and clear voice, are assets which the couples I have married have said were most beneficial in improving their wedding day service. Also, I have an excellent, portable PA system. This ensures that the whole audience will clearly hear you and your partner publicly declare your eternal love and commitment to each other, when saying your vows and 'I do'.

We work together to create your wedding ceremony. There are just a few parts of the ceremony which are legally required under The Marriage Act, but most of the service can be presented in any way you choose. I am always here to offer suggestions so that you can both have your dream wedding day. It may sound somewhat clichéd to say that every wedding is unique, but it's actually the truth. As your marriage celebrant, my role is to "tailor make" a service to ensure your wishes are the primary focus, and deliver a ceremony you will be proud of and remember forever.
