I am a firm believer in continually learning and have been fortunate to have taken courses offered by master trainers in both weddings and funerals. I am always open to new and fresh ideas that a couple or family may ask for and look forward to helping them through their ceremony planning journey.

Why I'm a celebrant: I went to so many weddings and funerals where the celebrant had made no effort to get to know the people. They used the same ceremony time and time again, just changing the names, and delivered it in a flat tone of voice.

I knew there must be a better way to do things, so became qualified and made sure I did things better.

Treasured memories: I have so many treasured memories, things like finding out 2 hours before the ceremony the photographer had let a couple down. Calling on my industry connections and friends to have a photographer at their wedding.

Doing the chicken dance at a funeral because Grandma taught her grandchildren and great grandchildren the dance.

Naming five children from the same family in one ceremony.

Having the mother of my first bride as my 100th bride.

Tips : Take your time don't rush.
Trust your feelings, they will guide you to the right celebrant for you.
Never be afraid to think outside the box.
Don't think any ceremonies you see on TV are how things have to be done.
Don't forget to take time for yourself.
